FoundER & Principal Designer
SARAH WINTERS
Sarah grew up in North County San Diego and graduated from CSUSM with a degree in human development and an emphasis in counseling. For as long as she can remember, friends sought out her advice on how to design spaces to inspire warmth, flow and functionality. Over the past 15 years she’s owned and operated three re:form YOGA + FITNESS studios. Sarah designed each studio and project-managed them from design thru construction. Working closely with construction teams and subs she created each space to be memorable and timeless. One of her specialties is creating yoga and fitness spaces. She also truly enjoys creating accent walls by using wallpaper, photo collage, slats or even something new she dreams up to fit your vibe and style.
It was clear she had a natural passion for commercial and residential interior design. So when her friend Natalie presented the opportunity to become partner and lead designer for her design company, Sarah knew it would open the door to a new chapter. As their businesses flourished, Sarah defined her unique approach in bonding with each client through her ability to listen and truly understand their vision.
Sarah’s design journey led her to found KINDLE & STONE. When she’s not working with design clients, Sarah and her twelve year old daughter enjoy dancing, roller skating and making each other laugh.

Perry Ustick
CRAFTSMAN
Perry spent most of his early career in customer service, primarily in the restaurant business. Prior to joining Kindle & Stone, he was General Manager of a local San Diego favorite, Jake’s Del Mar, where he was heavily involved in space planning and the restaurant’s renovation.
Perry is the hands on guy for accent walls at Kindle & Stone. He takes Sarah's designs and turns a plain wall into a one-of-a-kind custom accent wall. He's also your go-to person for installations—hanging plants, pictures for collages, wallpaper, curtain rods. He builds custom benches/cubbies and shelves.
Perry goes above and beyond to finish a project, paying attention to special details…and all with a huge smile. Perry is inspired by the impact of bringing a client’s vision to life!
Perry lives with his two sons in Leucadia, where they surf, practice for school water polo games and enjoy living close to the beach.
